In December, 2008 and again in 2009, hundreds of mature coho salmon were placed in Salmon Creek at Chanslor Ranch. They spawned early in 2009 and are expected to do the same in Spring 2010. For a species as endangered as the coho, this would be a very significant. Restoration of the creek habitat is a priority with many agencies participating, including Chanslor Wildlife.
